Music for joy, music for everyone. Community choir and ukulele club in Ascot.

Ascot Ukuleles

Meets on Friday mornings at 10:30 during term time

We meet in the Lady Chapel at All Souls, South Ascot. We play until around 11:30 and then enjoy a cuppa!

Sessions for beginners to intermediate players

Whether you've just discovered the joy of the ukulele or have been playing for a little while, you're very welcome to join us at Ascot Ukes. If you're curious, and would like to borrow a ukulele for a session to see if it's for you, that's great too. Please get in touch and we'll make sure there's an instrument for you to use.

Play, learn, explore, perform

Sessions usually include strumming through some familiar music, learning something new, trying out new chords, exploring style or technique, and often a little bit of music theory or history to make a stimulating and enjoyable experience. We perform, occasionally, as the 'Sparkly Windows' - all participants are welcome to join in performances, but there's no obligation to do so.

Fees and membership

Sessions are £5 per person and there's no obligation to show up every week - you're welcome to join us as and when you can. Sessions are quite small and informal, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and explore ideas.
